Biography

Oliva Imanibirimo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Soil Science from the University of Rwanda – College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (UR-CAVM). With over five years of experience in volunteerism, leadership, and community development, she has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to service, sustainability, and empowerment.

Throughout her journey, Oliva has served in various leadership positions, including Vice Guild President, Minister of Gender and Protocol, and Coordinator at the Career Development and Employability Skills Center at UR-CAVM. These roles strengthened her dedication to youth empowerment, inclusion, and creating opportunities for others to thrive.

Oliva also has hands-on experience working with rural communities. Notably, she trained women in Busogo Sector to produce liquid soap, both as a tool for income generation and to promote better hygiene. She is also the founder of Zen Protocol team. She has actively engaged in impactful initiatives, including International Women’s Day and environmental protection, across all platforms, which have advanced her advocacy for gender equality and social transformation.

Motivated by a deep commitment to sustainable community development, Oliva is passionate about advancing gender equality, promoting youth leadership, facilitating the locals to graduate from poverty, and creating innovative, low-cost projects that uplift underprivileged families.

Her goal is to inspire communities to believe in their own capacities, harness local resources, and work together toward long-term solutions. Oliva is excited to continue this journey of impact learning, sharing, and growing while serving communities, discovering new cultures, and fostering meaningful change in Rwanda.
