Biography
Abdulai Sumaila, from Tamale in the Northern Region, is a licensed nutritionist passionate about improving lives in rural communities. A graduate of the University for Development Studies, he has actively engaged in volunteering programs and leadership roles. He served as Financial Secretary for the Association of Community Nutrition Students, Seny Foundation, and the National Service Personnel Association. He is currently the Youth Organizer for Kakpagyili United Youth for Development.
Sumaila also gained valuable experience working as a Teacher and Associate with Lead for Ghana, where he undertook his National Service at Kalpohini SDA Junior High School in the Northern Region and later served as an alumni teacher at Bongo Senior High School in the Upper East Region. At Kalpohini, he championed the #GreenGhanaProject in collaboration with NASPA-Sagnarigu Municipal and launched the #MakeThreeSmileProject, rewarding the best-performing students each term with school supplies.
Sumaila enjoys entrepreneurship, playing football, and engaging in politics, experiences that have broadened his perspective and equipped him with valuable leadership skills. Building on his experiences and his journey as a CorpsAfrica volunteer, he is determined to continue learning, growing, and using his knowledge to inspire hope and create lasting impact in local communities.
