Biography
Alhassan Fatimatu is a young woman from Wa in the Upper West Region of Ghana, with a strong passion for education and community service. She graduated from the University for Development Studies (UDS) with a Bachelor of Education in Social Sciences, majoring in Geography. After completing her studies, she served as a Lead For Ghana Associate, teaching in an underserved school. This role provided her with first-hand exposure to the challenges faced by marginalized communities and strengthened her determination to improve education for children in such areas.
Fatimatu is guided by the values of teamwork, equity, and mutual respect, which are reflected in both her personal and professional life. She enjoys learning new things that broaden her perspective and often bakes in her leisure time as a way to find joy and balance. Her decision to volunteer with CorpsAfrica is inspired by her passion for serving underserved communities and creating meaningful, long-lasting impact.
