Biography
Najat Awal is a graduate of the University for Development Studies, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Nutrition and became a licensed Registered Nutritionist. Passionate about continuous learning, she is dedicated to community development and public service.
As a Nutrition Intern at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Najat strengthened her skills in conducting nutritional assessments. She completed her mandatory National Service with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, gaining practical experience while working alongside professionals to enhance her expertise. She also served as a Project Intern with Urbanet GH, contributing to impactful community development initiatives.
Beyond her professional career, Najat is active in volunteer work. She has supported the End Plastic Waste campaign, the Peace Ambassador Campaign, and various community clean-up exercises. She contributed to the Celebrate Her Empowering Women Summit (March 2025) as part of the fundraising and organizing committee. Additionally, she has served as a CAMFED Learner Guide Facilitator, volunteered with MyHereafter Ghana, and worked as a Field Enumerator with the World Food Programme.
Najat aspires to apply her knowledge, skills, and experience to create a lasting impact. Through CorpsAfrica, she hopes to empower communities while growing personally and professionally.
