Biography

Hamida holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Media and Communication Studies. She is a committed mentor and coach, specializing in guiding young people in finance, career, and personal development. She possesses strong communication, community entry and engagement, collaboration, and teamwork skills, gained through her years of service and work with NGOs.

As a KASA advocate, she serves as a strong voice against sexual and gender-based violence. Her leadership experience includes serving as Chief of Staff in her department and as a Peer Counsellor at the KNUST Counselling Centre, where she provided support in academic, emotional, psychological, personal, and financial matters. As a peer mentor with the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Peer Mentorship Program, she assisted new scholars in adapting to university life, managing their time, and excelling academically.

Hamida also worked with Camfed Ghana as a Learner Facilitator, empowering youth through the “My Better World” program to recognize their strengths, improve social skills, and build better relationships. She further interned with SWIDA Ghana, supporting the facilitation of sessions on unpaid care labor and combating SGBV in schools and communities.

Driven by her passion for development, Hamida served as an Administrative Assistant at GIZ Ghana, where she coordinated training and supported communications for the Digital Transformation Project. Her dedication continues as she seeks to make a lasting impact in the lives of rural communities.
