Biography
Hawa Naafortu Issah is from the Upper East Region of Ghana and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry Education from the University of Education, Winneba. After graduation, she completed her national service teaching Chemistry in a senior high school, where she developed strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills. She later joined the World Agriculture Forum (WAF) as a research intern, focusing on the role of climate-smart agriculture in addressing food security and climate change challenges in Ghana.
Hawa is also an active member of the CAMFED Association (CAMA), where she volunteers to support students in their studies and personal development. She is passionate about promoting climate-smart farming, caring for children with autism, and serving vulnerable communities. Her future goal is to contribute to sustainable agriculture and work in the health sector, particularly supporting people with cancer.
