Biography

Mukaddam Abdul-Salam, a registered Nutritionist from Tamale in Ghana’s Northern Region, holds a degree in Community Nutrition from the University for Development Studies. During his National Service at Tamale Central Hospital (now Northern Regional Hospital), he provided nutrition education and support to patients managing various medical conditions.

He is dedicated to combating malnutrition, with a particular focus on pregnant women and children under five. Motivated by a strong work ethic and genuine compassion, he aspires to further develop his education and research skills to help reduce the impact of malnutrition on vulnerable populations.

Mukaddam has also contributed as a Research Assistant at the University of Ghana’s School of Public Health, supporting key studies on nurses’ attitudes toward bereavement support and its effects on families experiencing perinatal loss in Ghana.

With a sincere passion for rural community development, he is committed to driving positive change. He is currently volunteering with CorpsAfrica, where he works directly with rural communities to create lasting impact. His career reflects a deep dedication to improving public health through education, research, and hands-on community engagement.
