Biography

Tie Lydia was born in Sawla and hails from Sankana in the Upper West Region of Ghana. She began her educational journey at St. Augustine R/C Basic School in Sawla, continued at Damongo Senior High School, and later earned a degree in Development Education Studies from the University for Development Studies.

She has a deep passion for community service and youth development. She served as a volunteer usher with Springboard, supporting events focused on personal and leadership growth. Her commitment to empowering others also led her to work with Lagim Tehi Tuma, where she served as a Black is Beautiful facilitator and ICT instructor at Dalung in the Kumbungu District of the Northern Region.

Her professional background includes working as a subject teacher at St. John of the Cross Educational Center in Tamale, where she dedicated herself to shaping young minds with care and commitment.

Lydia believes strongly in working with integrity, and her efforts reflect her values of honesty, commitment, respect, and service. She continues to seek opportunities that allow her to learn, uplift others, and contribute to meaningful change in her community and beyond. She is currently undergoing pre-service training to become a CorpsAfrica Volunteer.
