Biography

Tijani Mariam is a dedicated Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science graduate from the University for Development Studies, Tamale Campus, where she completed a six-year program in 2023. She fulfilled her mandatory National Service at the 37 Military Hospital in 2024 and joined CorpsAfrica in 2025, eager to continue learning and growing both personally and professionally.

As a former beneficiary of Camfed and the MasterCard Foundation during her Senior High School years, Mariam is deeply committed to giving back to society. She is passionate about youth empowerment and mental health advocacy, taking pride in helping others become the best versions of themselves.

Through her work with CorpsAfrica, Mariam aims to contribute meaningfully to national development. She believes that lasting change begins with individual contributions and is excited to apply her skills and passion in this role.

In her free time, Mariam enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, and acquiring new skills. She recently learned to sew through YouTube tutorials and is currently studying French using both Duolingo and YouTube.

With her strong foundation in medical laboratory science and her dedication to community development, Mariam is well-positioned to make a positive impact in her community.
