Biography
MIZERO MBABAZI Irene holds an Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design from the Integrated Polytechnic Regional College (IPRC–Kigali). In addition, she is a young professional Fashion Designer and community development facilitator with strong experience in equipping young women and girls with practical skills, financial literacy, and cooperative development. She has served as a volunteer at IMPANURO Girls Initiative, where she trained individuals in tailoring, encouraged financial independence through savings groups, and supported community members to form cooperatives. Currently, she is serving as a Corps Africa Volunteer.
Irene is motivated by a passion to see the lives of people improve for the better where families achieve financial independence, live healthy lives, and access their basic needs. She strongly advocates for justice and equal rights, ensuring that no one is left behind in development. Her dedication to empowering women, youth, and vulnerable individuals reflects her vision of building a society free from violence, injustice, and inequality. She is proud to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly those related to reducing poverty, promoting gender equality, and advancing decent work and economic growth. Irene is enthusiastic to continue this journey of service, working with communities to create sustainable change, and she enjoys reading books and having mindful conversations that inspire growth and leadership.
