Biography

Nontokozo Faith Mhlongo was born and raised in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Zululand. During her studies, she gained valuable experience as a student social worker at Queen Nandi Regional Hospital, where she worked with individuals, families, and communities through casework, group facilitation, and community development initiatives.

Driven by a deep passion for empowering people and creating sustainable change, Nontokozo has always been committed to promoting social and emotional well-being. Her experience in hospital and community settings strengthened her belief in the power of resilience and local collaboration.

Now serving as a CorpsAfrica/South Africa Cohort 2 Volunteer in Ga-Makibelo Village, Limpopo, she is dedicated to working alongside community members to identify and build on their existing assets. Through her service, she hopes to inspire hope, promote self-reliance, and contribute to meaningful, community-led development.
