Biography
Mukosi Maduvha, born in Maniini Village near Thohoyandou and raised in Mafukani village in Mutale, is a dedicated and passionate young professional with a Bachelor of Earth Sciences in Hydrology and Water Resources from the University of Venda, and a registered Candidate Earth Scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP). Throughout his academic journey, he demonstrated exceptional leadership skills, serving as a class representative for over 4 years, representing his peers and advocating for their needs in all Hydrology modules. He is also a talented chorister, having performed with the University of Venda Choir and The Vhembe Belcanto Choral Choir.
Mukosi’s commitment to community service is evident in his volunteer work as a University of Venda Campus Health Peer Educator (January 2022-December 2023) and his involvement with the Vhembe Biosphere Reserve Youth Network (2021-September 2025), where he contributed to initiatives such as CV writing workshops, grade 12 application drives, clean-up campaigns, and water resources management projects. He served as an Educational Assistant at Matavhela Secondary School (June-September 2025) and later joined CorpsAfrica-SA’s Pre-Service Training program in September 2025, developing interests in Human-Centered Design, Asset-Based Community Development, and Community-Led Development approaches. As a CorpsAfrica/South Africa Volunteer serving as a Community-Led Development Coordinator, Mukosi is excited to apply these skills and approaches to drive positive change in his community.
