Biography

Sinovuyo Ngilana was born and raised in the Eastern Cape, KwaBhaca town, South Africa. She earned her Bachelor of Social Sciences degree at Walter Sisulu University (NMD) driven by a strong passion for understanding people and creating meaningful change within communities. Growing up in a rural setting exposed her to the realities of unemployment, limited access to opportunities, and the resilience of people striving for better lives. These experiences shaped her desire to be part of the solution. Sinovuyo believes in the power of community-led development and the importance of listening to people’s voices in building sustainable change.

Now serving as a CorpsAfrica/South Africa Volunteer Cohort 2, she is committed to empowering others through skills development, youth engagement, and environmental awareness working hand in hand with communities to create spaces of hope and self-reliance
