Biography
Thandiwe Zungu is a passionate social worker and advocate for social justice, raised in the vibrant community of Soweto, Gauteng South Africa. She holds a Bachelor of Social work degree from the North-West University, where she built a strong foundation in community development and human rights. Thandiwe has practical experience of working closely with children living with HIV(CLHIV) and youth affected by substance use, including those who use drugs. She believes in the power of support and advocacy to make a real difference.
Thandiwe applies her counselling and community outreach experience to help people face their challenges and find strength to move forward. She was inspired to join CorpsAfrica by its focus on grassroots impact and hands-on experience in diverse African communities.
As a recent graduate, she values the opportunity to deepen her skills, learn from experienced professionals and contribute meaningfully to sustainable social change. She believes in a just society where everyone has equal opportunities for economic and social development. Thandiwe firmly advocates that people should be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to become self reliant and reduce dependence on external aid.
