Biography
Fatou Jobarteh is a CorpsAfrica Volunteer with a background in media, communication, and information technology. She is studying Journalism and Communication at the Media Academy for Journalism and Communication (MAJAC) and also completed training in Information Technology at the Interlink Global Training Center. In addition, she is a certified member of the Nova Scotia The Gambia Association.
Fatou demonstrated leadership from an early age when she was recognized as the Best Debater and served as Head Girl at Tallinding Upper Basic School. She continued her active involvement in extracurricular activities during her senior secondary education, where she was a member of several clubs and served as the Information and Public Relations Officer (IPRO) for both the Debate Club and the Islamic Club.
She formerly served as a youth parliamentarian in the National Youth Parliament, where she actively participates in school and community leadership programs. Fatou advocates for youth voices, promotes peer mentorship, and encourages active participation in social initiatives. She is widely known for her enthusiasm, sense of responsibility, and strong leadership potential.
A naturally reserved individual, Fatou passionately serves in a quiet yet impactful manner, leading by example through consistency, dedication, and support. Her love for public speaking reflects her deep commitment to advocacy and youth empowerment. As a CorpsAfrica Volunteer, Fatou Jobarteh is eager to apply her knowledge and skills to community development, working collaboratively to create a lasting and positive impact in the lives of others.
