Biography
Caroline graduated from Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar with a Bachelor’s degree in Modern and Contemporary History and a Master’s degree in the History of International and Strategic Relations in 2020. In 2022, she entered the professional world with the NGO 3D (Decentralization, Human Rights, Local Development) as part of the Nietty Election program, an electoral monitoring initiative.
This experience led her to perform tasks such as: monitoring and compiling data from the Open SR platform, training field observers on data reporting via SMS, training Long-Term Observers (LTOs), checking codifications and processing all forms, verifying and validating information collected by observers, providing remote assistance to observers and regional coordinators, managing administrative formalities for supervision units, controlling and analyzing data, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring the activities of LTOs, participating in and reporting on seminars and strategic retreats, and drafting weekly, monthly, and annual activity reports.
In September 2023, she joined CorpsAfrica/Senegal, first as an intern and then as a Volunteer assigned to the Kédougou region, in the commune of Ninéfécha and the village of Ndébou. This experience with CorpsAfrica/Senegal allowed her, at her site, to identify, design, and plan a community project led by community members; organize community meetings; train and strengthen their capacity in project management, monitoring, and evaluation; carry out secondary activities related to environmental initiatives, WASH, health, education, and agriculture; conduct surveys for demographic, social, and economic data collection; draft weekly, monthly, and annual reports; and mobilize resources with local stakeholders.
After her service with CorpsAfrica/Senegal, she worked from September 2024 to June 2025 as a Project Facilitator with the NGO EVE (Water, Life, and Environment) within the Yook Koom Koom program, which focuses on empowering women through the implementation of ACEC and AVEC groups and the creation of income-generating activities. Her responsibilities included mobilizing stakeholders, leading community mobilization sessions, establishing and coaching ACEC/AVEC groups, providing individual coaching for participants, organizing training sessions in micro-entrepreneurship and life skills, supporting logistics for the provision of productive grants, training community facilitators on project content and procedures, supervising and monitoring the activities of community facilitators, ensuring follow-up on trainings, supporting the development of participants’ business plans, and producing weekly and monthly reports.
However, eager to acquire new skills and diverse—particularly international—knowledge, and driven by her passion for service, she decided to resign from her position and join CorpsAfrica/Rwanda to serve Rwandan communities. Her goal for this mission is to make a positive impact. This immersion in the village of Ishingangabo represents a new opportunity for her to gain valuable experiences that will enrich her journey, and she sees it as a great chance to further engage in community development.
