Biography

Joselyne Muhayimana holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Mathematics and Geography from the University of Technology and Arts of Byumba UTAB.

She completed the Digital Ambassador in Rwanda information Society Authority RISA technology, which equipped her with skills and creativity in the field of innovation. Joselyne also served as the Youth Leader for Butare Sector and as the Secretary of the Family Commission at the Parish level within the Catholic Church, a commission responsible for promoting harmony and supporting couples to build strong families.

Furthermore, she served as the Secretary of the Good Governance “IMBONI” in Butare Sector, a platform that collects citizens’ concerns and submits them to the Sector Council for solutions.

Joselyne is one of the founders of KOBUFATANYEBUTA , a youth beekeeping cooperative composed of 21 members based in Rusizi Districts, Butare Sector, which helps young people reduce poverty through entrepreneurship and beekeeping activities. She has also worked as an advocate for “IMBONIDUTERIMBERE,” a youth group supported by Faith Victory Association (FVA), where she mobilized young people to participate in community development and self-reliance activities.

Currently, Joselyne is a CorpsAfrica Volunteer, working closely with local communities to implement community-led development projects and empower citizens to take ownership of their progress. She aspires to pursue further studies in psychosocial disciplines and dreams of establishing a center that provides trauma healing services to help people live mentally and emotionally healthy lives.

Joselyne is passionate about seeing Rwanda develop and is committed to contributing to this vision by being an agent of positive change and inspiring other young people to actively participate in building a better future for the nation.
