Biography
Renatha Mujawimana was born and raised in Rwanda, where her passion for agriculture and community service was nurtured from a young age. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Mechanization from University of Rwanda Busogo campus and is driven by a vision to transform communities through sustainable farming practices. Her journey began in childhood, when she cultivated onions and vegetables to support her education while also providing food for her family and neighbors. Throughout her academic path, Renatha demonstrated leadership and commitment to service, serving as Head Girl in Advanced Level and later as an advisor in the Pentecost Student Association (CEP) committee at university. She also actively participated in saving groups, reflecting her belief in financial responsibility and collective growth. Renatha is currently serving as a Corps Africa Volunteer, working hand in hand with communities to promote inclusive development, with a special focus on empowering youth and those in graduation programs. She strongly believes that “a developed and secure citizen is the foundation of the future we want.”
Guided by resilience, integrity, and a strong desire to empower communities, Renatha is particularly dedicated to addressing agricultural challenges, reducing postharvest losses, and promoting a culture of saving as a pathway to sustainable development. With her skills, values, and determination, she continues to inspire others and contribute meaningfully to building a more resilient and food-secure society.
