Biography

Emmanuel Murindwa holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Rwanda and is a registered nutrition practitioner under the Rwanda Allied Health Professional Council. His focus is on working directly with communities, especially in rural areas, to promote economic resilience and sustainable development.

He has completed various internships in health settings to contribute to community well-being, serving as a Nutrition Intern at Ruhango Health Center and Kabgayi Level II Teaching Hospital. Later, he gained experience in community nutrition, social behavior change, and research during his internship with Catholic Relief Services (CRS). Emmanuel went on to work with Three Stones International in the USAID-Inclusive Nutrition and Early Childhood Development (Gikuriro Kuri Bose) Program as a Social Behavior Change Officer. He also served as an Associate Research Coordinator at Three Stones International, where he developed skills in research ethics, as well as qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.

In addition, he volunteered with We Got Your Back NGO as a Green Rising Ambassador, where he mobilized youth, engaged communities, and promoted climate action. Being a Green Rising Ambassador became a turning point in his journey, as it allowed him to live his dream of helping communities conserve the environment while contributing to malnutrition prevention.

Emmanuel is also the founder and Managing director of UBUZIMA FOODS LTD, a private domestic company that works to improve food and nutrition security by increasing local production, distribution, and consumption of healthy foods. He was selected among the top winners of the 2025 Aguka Ideation Entrepreneurship Programme, funded by the Tony Elumelu Foundation in collaboration with UNDP, the Rwandan Ministry of Youth, and the European Commission.

To strengthen his leadership capacity, Emmanuel completed at Generation Leadership Academy, an intensive two-week training given by Citizen Voice and Action (CVA), which focused on inclusive governance, rights, and youth engagement, among other key leadership skills.

He aspires to live a life dedicated to giving back to his community by promoting and sustaining development.
