Biography
Esther Uwadata is a passionate and purpose-driven young Rwandan with a background in Biology and Chemistry with Education from the University of Rwanda – College of Education. With a deep-rooted interest in environmental sustainability and community development, Esther has combined her scientific knowledge with hands-on experience, having worked in a tree nursery where she contributed to local reforestation efforts and environmental conservation.
Her journey reflects a strong commitment to meaningful, grassroots-level change. Through her work, Esther has seen firsthand how environmental stewardship can empower communities and foster sustainable livelihoods—especially among the youth. This aligns closely with the inspiration of engaging young people in service, leadership, and development by placing them in rural communities to facilitate locally-identified projects that respond to pressing community needs.
Esther believes in the power of young people to lead transformative change in their own communities. Her goal is to use her skills and experiences to inspire others, protect natural resources, and drive sustainable development. She is particularly passionate about education, youth empowerment, and environmental resilience, and is eager to continue contributing to initiatives that uplift and unite communities through service.
