Biography
Divine Uwase earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health Sciences at the University of Rwanda. Passionate about public health, she is committed to promoting health awareness, disease prevention, and community well-being.
Her experience includes volunteering with the Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC) in Maternal and Child Health programs, where she contributed to awareness campaigns and examined health data for planning. She has also worked to promote Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and conducted screenings for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), helping communities access vital health education and services.
Additionally, Divine volunteered with the Health Promotion Organization, where she delivered educational workshops, supported campaign materials, and led interactive sessions to engage communities in preventive healthcare.
As a former Secretary and Treasurer of the University of Rwanda Public Health Students’ Association (URPHSA) in 2023 and 2024, she helped organize public health events and educational programs that encouraged positive change. She has also pursued specialized training, including the One Health and Antimicrobial Resistance Program and Antimicrobial Stewardship for Healthcare Providers.
Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda, Divine is recognized for her integrity, leadership, and ability to inspire trust through action. Serving her community will always be part of her life, and advancing community development will always remain her goal. She is determined to dedicate her knowledge, skills, and passion to building healthier, more resilient communities for the future.
