Gentil Uwizeyimana
Volunteer
Biography

Gentil Uwizeyimana holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Kigali Independent University (ULK).

Gentil has a strong passion for community service. He worked as a volunteer with Association Mwana Ukundwa in Gisagara District, in a program called Sponsorship. His role was to advocate for children from poor families to find sponsors who could support them with school materials and access to healthcare.

He also volunteered with World Vision Rwanda in a program called Care and Comfort for children on the Move, where he served as a community facilitator. His main responsibility was to train caregivers of children under five years old on how to support their children’s development mentally, physically, and emotionally. The goal was to help parents understand the importance of early childhood care so that their children could grow into responsible and successful adults.

These experiences gave Gentil valuable skills in working with communities and deepened his love for volunteer work. He is proud to contribute to his community and believes that volunteering gave him the opportunity to make a real impact.

Now, as a Volunteer with CorpsAfrica, Gentil is excited to continue this journey. He is committed to helping rural communities in Rwanda find local solutions using the limited resources they have, and to work together toward a better future.
