Biography
Joselyne Uwizeyimana holds a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Modern Languages, Arts, and Publishing from the University of Rwanda. Joselyne is a dedicated professional specializing in archive and document management, publishing, translation, and digital communication. She has gained hands-on experience through attachments with the Rwanda Consumer Rights Protection Organization (ADECOR), the Rwanda Agriculture and Animal Resources Development Board (RAB), the Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement (MINUBUMWE) in the National Archives, and as a journalist and theatre writer at the University of Rwanda.
Joselyne is passionate about preserving historical records, effective storytelling, and community engagement. Her work in documentation, cataloguing, indexing, and digital publishing ensures that knowledge is organized, accessible, and impactful. She is fluent in Kinyarwanda, proficient in English and Swahili, and has basic knowledge of French, which allows her to communicate effectively across diverse communities.
She is particularly motivated to serve in rural communities through her current role as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer in Rulindo District. Joselyne actively contributes to community awareness programs, encourages education and cultural engagement, and supports initiatives that advance sustainable development goals. Her dedication to empowering local communities, especially youth and women, inspires others to take initiative and positively impact their surroundings.
Joselyne is excited to continue her journey with CorpsAfrica, blending her skills in archives, publishing, and communication with hands-on community service. She looks forward to fostering local development, promoting literacy, and encouraging civic participation while embracing new cultures and learning from the communities she serves.
