Biography

Theophile Niyonsenga is a dedicated Rwandan educator, community development practitioner, and science specialist committed to social transformation. Born and raised in Rwanda, he completed his secondary education at Groupe Scolaire APPAGIE Musha, where he earned the Rwanda Advanced Certificate of Education in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Kibogora Polytechnic, specializing in Biology and Chemistry with Education. During his studies, he conducted research on the impact of chemical fertilizers on garlic production in Musanze District, reflecting his interest in applied science, agriculture, and sustainable development.

From 2017 to 2024, Theophile volunteered with the National Electoral Commission, contributing to civic engagement and public service. In 2024, he completed a teaching internship at College Baptiste St. Sylvestre Kinigi, where he taught Biology and Chemistry. He later served as a Mathematics and Science teacher at PREFER School, demonstrating versatility and passion for education.

Currently, he is a CorpsAfrica Volunteer, certified in Community Led Development, Human Centered Design, and Asset Based Community Development. He works closely with communities in Huye District, Ruhashya Sector, Gatovu Cell, Kigoma Village to identify local assets and Facilitate sustainable, community driven solutions.

With strong expertise in science, education, research, and grassroots engagement, Theophile is committed to empowering communities and contributing to Rwanda’s socio economic development.
