Biography

Kouame Amenan Gladys comes from a family of farmers and grew up in close connection with the land and the realities of rural life. This rich heritage shapes not only her identity but also the driving force behind her commitment. Having witnessed the structural barriers that limit access to well-being, she chose to transform her lived experience into expertise.

She holds a Master’s degree in Health Economics, and her academic journey bridges theory with the concrete needs of communities. By joining CorpsAfrica/Côte d’Ivoire, she seeks to place her resilience and analytical skills at the service of local development. She is convinced that the most sustainable solutions emerge from within communities themselves.

Her resilience and deep understanding of rural life are her greatest strengths. For her, immersion is a unique opportunity to co-create with communities in order to achieve lasting impact. Her story began in the fields, and it is in the field—alongside communities—that she aims to build meaningful change.

Guided by equity, excellence, and social impact, she is committed to listening, learning, and acting alongside communities while amplifying their voices to help build more resilient futures and more equitable systems.

Her life story has taught her the value of hard work and solidarity; CorpsAfrica offers her the opportunity to transform these values into concrete action. She aspires to be a catalyst for positive change, working hand in hand with her host communities to build a healthier and more united future.
