Biography
Konan Affoué Cynthia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Sciences, with a specialization in Journalism. Passionate about community engagement, communication, and education, she has built a path marked by volunteerism, leadership, and social impact.
She is actively involved in several organizations, notably U-Report Côte d’Ivoire and Jeune Chambre Internationale Universitaire, where she served as External Relations Officer. Driven by a strong interest in digital communication, she is an ambassador of Presse Numérique de Côte d’Ivoire (PNCI) and a member of its academy. She is also one of the 16 Mental Health Ambassadors in Côte d’Ivoire, a joint initiative of UNICEF and the Programme National de Santé Mentale. In this role, she has contributed to producing digital content, podcasts, and street interviews aimed at breaking the stigma surrounding mental health.
A former radio host and finalist in national public speaking competitions—including La Flamme Linguistique and the national debate competition of Jeune Chambre Internationale—she is also certified in children’s rights by the CNDH Côte d’Ivoire. She advocates for Right for Education Africa and is a member of the Femmes Leaders Bâtisseurs, networks that promote education, women’s leadership, and social innovation. Her work aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 5, advancing equality, social inclusion, and support for persons with disabilities and minority groups.
Today, Konan Affoué Cynthia is among the 36 Volunteers of the first cohort of CorpsAfrica/Côte d’Ivoire, deployed in the Région du N’Zi, in the village of Kouadio Ettienkro, where she contributes to human-centered community development.
