Biography
ANNÉ AKOUA Rebecca Audrey is a trained lawyer and dedicated volunteer, driven by a deep passion for human relations and the protection of vulnerable individuals. She holds a Master’s degree in Public International Law and Human Rights and has focused her career early on human rights protection, believing that every young person can become an agent of social change.
She began her professional journey at the Direction d’Aide et d’Assistance aux Réfugiés et Apatrides de Côte d’Ivoire, working directly with victims of armed conflict. Displaced women, out-of-school children, and heads of households deprived of livelihoods—these field experiences instilled in her a strong conviction: to listen, understand, and transform life stories into actionable solutions is a civic responsibility.
Since 2022, Rebecca has actively engaged in volunteer work as an Event Organizer and Human Rights Coordinator. In this role, she has developed close-proximity leadership based on listening, dialogue with local authorities, and the direct involvement of communities in finding sustainable solutions.
Her commitment naturally extends to CorpsAfrica/Côte d’Ivoire, whose community-led development approach—rooted in immersion and co-creation of sustainable solutions—perfectly aligns with her vision: living within a rural community, learning from them, supporting their autonomy, with them and through them, represents for Rebecca a school of leadership and active citizenship.
Passionate and engaged, Rebecca embodies a conscious youth, convinced that “volunteering is a powerful tool for awakening, responsibility, and sustainable development.”
