Biography

Anita Adjei is a Bachelor of Public Health graduate (Health Information) from the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), where she graduated as Overall Best Graduating Female Student and Best Graduating Student for the School of Public Health, Class of 2025.

Before joining CorpsAfrica, Anita was a Research and Teaching Assistant at UHAS, assisting in facilitating public health courses. She is also a data analyst who has led several projects, including a UNICEF-funded project at the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), where she analyzed nutrition-related expenditure data across Ghana’s ministries using Excel, Power Query, and Power BI. She has also trained over 300 people, including many young women, in data analytics for decision-making, work rooted in her belief that empowering others matters as much as the numbers themselves, and one she looks forward to pursuing full-time.

Anita joined CorpsAfrica because while data reveals what is happening, direct community engagement reveals why. Even with good quality data collected in person, living alongside community members reveals something different: social determinants, behavioral patterns, beliefs, and lived experiences that data collection alone does not fully capture. Drawing on prior field research in Ghana’s Volta and Eastern regions, she hopes to listen, learn, and help facilitate community-led solutions.
