Biography

Gifty Naa Atswei Laryea is a Public Health Nutrition graduate from the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ghana, with a strong interest in community development, public health, and improving maternal and child health. Her academic background equipped her with knowledge in nutrition, health promotion, and community-based approaches to health challenges.

Before joining CorpsAfrica, Gifty served as a teaching assistant at UHAS during her national service, supporting students in their learning and development. That was an experience that strengthened her communication, patience, leadership, and her ability to work with people from different backgrounds.

Gifty joined CorpsAfrica because she believes meaningful development begins with listening to communities and working alongside them to create solutions they can own and sustain. Through her service, she hopes to grow her leadership, facilitation, public speaking, and problem-solving skills while learning directly from the communities she serves.

She is passionate about community empowerment, maternal and child health, nutrition, and local health practices. Gifty hopes to use her experiences in service to build healthier and more resilient communities.
