Biography
Maryam Suglo Adam is a community nutritionist with a passion for improving the well-being of communities through nutrition, climate action, and community-led development. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Community Nutrition from the University for Development Studies.
Before joining CorpsAfrica, Maryam gained experience working in healthcare and community settings, including the Nutrition Unit at Tamale Teaching Hospital, where she supported nutrition care for mothers and children. She has also participated in community-based projects focused on nutrition, sanitation, environmental sustainability, and women and youth empowerment.
Maryam is passionate about working with communities to identify their strengths, understand their needs, and develop solutions that can continue beyond the life of a project. Her interest in CorpsAfrica grew from her desire to move beyond simply providing solutions and instead learn, collaborate, and build with communities.
Through her service, Maryam hopes to contribute to sustainable community development while growing as a leader, learning from the people she serves, and becoming a stronger advocate for healthier and more resilient communities.
