Biography
Peter Dindoe hails from Jirapa in the Upper West Region of Ghana. He had his basic and secondary school education at Baazu Junior High School and Lawra Senior High School, respectively. He pursued his bachelor’s degree in Geography and Rural Development, with a specialization in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Peter was a Mastercard Foundation Scholar at KNUST from 2018 to 2022, where he served as a peer counselor and a mentor from 2021 to 2022.
He championed many community development initiatives, including a water project in 2020 at Baazu. In leadership, Peter served as an organizing secretary for the KNUST YouthMappers Association and a Research and Career Development Officer for the Geography Students’ Association at KNUST in 2021.
After Peter’s undergraduate studies at KNUST, he served as a teaching and research assistant at the Department of Geography and Rural Development at KNUST for the 2022–2023 academic year. Following this, he was awarded another Mastercard Foundation Scholarship in 2024 to pursue his MPhil in Climate Science and Development at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, but he couldn’t pursue his programme because of immigration issues.
In 2025, Peter worked with RESIGHA Limited as a research assistant, where he helped in the implementation of the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) Programme. These experiences in community development and research have motivated him to join CorpsAfrica as a Volunteer.
