Biography
Timothy Maditi Attah, affectionately called “McEmiss,” is a practitioner in Development Planning passionate about community development, climate action, and creating opportunities for people to lead change in their own communities. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Planning from the University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (UBIDS) and a Diploma in Development Management from the University for Development Studies (UDS).
Before joining CorpsAfrica, Timothy gained valuable experience working with 14 District Assemblies and more than 200 communities across four regions of Ghana—the Upper West, Savannah, North East, and Upper East Regions—through the GIZ EU Resilience Against Climate Change (REACH) project. His work involved supporting Community Action Plans (CAPs), stakeholder engagement, project monitoring, and climate resilience activities. These experiences strengthened his belief that sustainable development is most effective when communities are actively involved in identifying their challenges and designing solutions that build on their own strengths.
Timothy’s passion for community-led development, environmental sustainability, and youth empowerment inspired him to become a CorpsAfrica Volunteer. He is currently serving and learning from the people of Tweapease in the Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District of the Central Region of Ghana, while contributing his skills, energy, and experiences to community-driven development.
