Feneti Nuru Siraj
Volunteer
Biography

Feneti Nuru is a young Ethiopian woman whose journey has been shaped by family, education, meaningful connections, and a growing desire to serve others. As the third child in her family, she grew up learning the importance of love, responsibility, patience, and caring for those around her. By nature, she is humble, kind, and compassionate, always willing to listen, learn, and connect with others.

Feneti studied Journalism and Communication at Hawassa University, where she discovered that communication was more than a profession; it was a way of understanding people, sharing their stories, and building meaningful connections. Her university years gave her opportunities to grow through leadership, youth engagement, media activities, and community initiatives, strengthening her passion for working with people and contributing to positive change.

After completing her university journey, Feneti completed 6 weeks of CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia training, an experience that prepared her to move beyond the classroom and into community service. She has now begun her service as a CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia Volunteer in Delbo Kebele, where she will work alongside the community, particularly youth, to listen, learn, understand local challenges, and support community-led solutions.

For Feneti, this is the beginning of a new chapter that will challenge her, teach her, and shape her in ways she cannot yet imagine. She believes meaningful service begins with humility: not by having all the answers, but by being willing to listen and learn from the people she serves.

As she begins her journey in Delbo, Feneti hopes to contribute to the community while growing alongside it, guided by kindness, humility, curiosity, and the belief that even a small contribution can create a lasting impact.
