Biography

Zufan Moges Dagnew was born in Debre Tabor, Ethiopia. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and later pursued a Master of Science in Human Nutrition at Debre Tabor University.

She completed a six-month internship at Kebena Health Center, where she participated in nutrition education, counseling, assessment, and community health programs. She also gained experience in nutrition assessment and counseling through her internship at Menelik II College of Medicine and Health Sciences. In addition, she worked as a Mentor for High-Risk Adolescent Girls and Young Women (HRAGYW) at Mahibere Hiwot for Social Development. In this position, she provided health education on HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health, and gender-based violence, facilitated workshops and mentoring sessions, supported young women in accessing services, and promoted peer-support networks. Her experience working with young women has strengthened her interest in community service, youth empowerment, health education, and social development.

She has also completed training in Leadership and Management and training related to Legal and Policy Reform for Gender Equality and SGBV Prevention. These experiences and achievements have strengthened her confidence, leadership capacity, ability to work with diverse groups, and commitment to professional excellence.
