Biography

Yitayish Adane is an Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate from Jigjiga University with a strong interest in community development, youth empowerment, innovation, leadership, and social impact. Her academic background has provided her with a strong foundation in technical knowledge, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to approach challenges from different perspectives.

In addition to her academic background, Yitayish has actively participated in professional and community-based training programs. She has received training in Human-Centered Design (HCD) and Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), which strengthened her understanding of how to identify community needs, recognize existing local assets, and develop solutions that are responsive to the realities of communities.

She has also participated in training focused on community engagement and innovation, where she developed practical skills in engaging community members, understanding local challenges, identifying opportunities, and encouraging meaningful participation. Through these experiences, she has gained exposure to activities such as community walks, youth mapping, market assessment, and community engagement.

Yitayish is passionate about working with young people and communities to identify challenges, explore opportunities, and develop practical and sustainable solutions. Her experiences have strengthened her communication, teamwork, leadership, facilitation, problem-solving, adaptability, and community engagement skills.

She is a motivated, responsible, and continuous learner who is eager to apply her knowledge and experiences to meaningful opportunities. Yitayish is committed to personal and professional growth and to contributing positively to her community and creating sustainable impact.
