Biography

Nardos Sirane Habte is a Social Work graduate from Jigjiga University who enjoys connecting with people, listening to their experiences, and learning from the communities around her. Her interest in social work grew from her desire to support others and contribute to positive change, especially at the community level.

During university, Nardos was involved in the Red Cross Community, where she gained experience in first aid, awareness activities, teamwork, and serving others. These experiences helped her become more confident and taught her the importance of compassion, responsibility, and working together.

Today, she is continuing this journey as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer in Awada Meda, Yirgalem. Living and working closely with the community has given Nardos the opportunity to meet different people, understand their challenges and strengths, and learn that meaningful development starts by listening to people and working with them.

She is still learning every day and hopes to use her experiences and skills to make a positive difference in the lives of others. For Nardos, her volunteer journey is an opportunity to serve, learn from the community, and grow while contributing to meaningful change.
