Biography

Catherine is a Social-Economic professional and Agricultural Economics graduate passionate about community development, sustainable agriculture, climate action, and the empowerment of women and youth. Her background in Agricultural Economics has given her experience in socio-economic research, household surveys, data collection and analysis, community engagement, and understanding the factors that influence agricultural livelihoods and rural development. As a CorpsAfrica Volunteer, Catherine is excited to bring this knowledge into community-led development while also learning from the people she serves. She believes that meaningful change begins with listening to communities, understanding their realities, and building on the knowledge, resources, and ideas they already possess. Through her service, she hopes to contribute to practical and sustainable solutions that strengthen livelihoods, create opportunities, and build community resilience. She sees volunteering not simply as an opportunity to serve, but as a journey of learning, collaboration, and growth.
