Biography
Divin Irakomeye holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Rwanda. His professional journey reflects a strong commitment to community development, sustainable agriculture, youth empowerment, and rural transformation.
Before joining CorpsAfrica/Kenya as an Exchange Volunteer, Divin served as a CorpsAfrica Rwanda Volunteer, where he worked alongside rural communities to identify local priorities, strengthen livelihoods, and support community-led development initiatives. He also gained professional experience through TradeMark Africa’s SPS Young Professionals Program, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in food processing with a focus on food safety, quality, and market access. His experience also includes agricultural extension and community-based development work with organizations including the Youth Engagement in Agriculture Network and World Vision Rwanda.
Divin continues to expand his professional and leadership journey through initiatives focused on climate action, sustainability, youth leadership, and innovation. He is an FXB Climate Advocate, a Young Professional in the ISO/TC 347 Young Professionals Program, and a Global Youth Ambassador with Youth for Sustainable Policy (YSP), where he engages with issues related to sustainability, youth participation, and policy. Divin also finds joy in creative expression of live music. He envisions a future where young people and rural communities are empowered to create sustainable solutions and lead positive change from the grassroots.
