Biography

Ruth Mutemi is a Sociology Professional from Kenya, driven by a passion for Monitoring and Evaluation and project management, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with Information Technology from Maseno University. She has a strong foundation in Community-led development, asset-based community development, and community mobilization and engagement. Ruth has gained valuable experience and networking opportunities in humanitarian programs, data collection, needs assessment, community mobilization, stakeholder engagement, women’s empowerment, and facilitating grassroots group formation, all of which have enhanced her skills in social development.

Currently, she is expanding her grassroots experience as a Volunteer with CorpsAfrica/Kenya, where she puts her commitment to community-led development into practice. She champions indigenous innovation and grassroots-driven strategies to tackle local challenges. Ultimately, she aims to grow into a seasoned program manager and monitoring and evaluation expert, while also aspiring to pursue her calling as a professional relationship and marriage counselor dedicated to strengthening families and communities, always remaining driven by a deep passion for lasting, people-centered change.
