Biography

Isaac Pangson is a young and dedicated development practitioner with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Malawi. Although his academic background is in biological sciences, his professional journey has focused strongly on community development, child protection, safeguarding, and social welfare programming. Through his work, he has developed a strong interest in working directly with communities and supporting people to identify and address challenges affecting their wellbeing and development.

Isaac has over three years of professional experience with the Nkhoma Synod Youth and Children’s Department, where he served in roles including Field Monitor Intern, Child-Headed Household Officer, and OVC Project Officer. His experience involved working with orphans and vulnerable children, child-headed households, women and youth groups, community volunteers, schools, churches, and government stakeholders. He has gained practical skills in community mobilization, stakeholder coordination, project implementation, monitoring and reporting, facilitation, and supporting community-based interventions.

His passion for community engagement and sustainable development led him to join CorpsAfrica as a Volunteer, where he is committed to serving alongside local communities and learning from their experiences. Through the CorpsAfrica experience, Isaac hopes to strengthen his capacity in community-led development, contribute to locally identified solutions, and build meaningful relationships with the people he serves.

He believes that sustainable development is strongest when communities are actively involved in identifying their own challenges and shaping solutions that respond to their unique needs. Through his service with CorpsAfrica, he looks forward to using his experience, learning new approaches, and contributing to positive and lasting change at the grassroots level.
