Biography

Uriah Kamisa an innovative and dedicated young professional holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Livingstonia. Driven by a passion for technology, creative design, and community-centered innovation, Uriah has built a strong foundation spanning IT systems, digital branding, technical strategy, and creative support. As the co-founder of Dzuka Creative Agency, he has channeled his passion for creative entrepreneurship into helping local businesses and projects grow through creatives synergy and tailored digital solutions.

Uriah’s background combines technical expertise with active grassroots engagement. Despite being from the computer engineering department, during his university studies in rural Rumphi, he participated in community outreach initiatives alongside the education department, documenting service work through photography and engaging directly with village leaders and residents to foster meaningful integration. His practical experience also includes IT support at Audit Consult, sales management, and data handling. These diverse environments have sharpened his analytical skills, cross-cultural communication, and practical problem-solving. Outside of his professional work, Uriah enjoys mobile photography, digital cinematography, and strategic mind games like Scrabble.

Driven by a commitment to grassroots development and asset-based community empowerment, Uriah has joined CorpsAfrica to apply his skills where they matter most.He views his service not only as a chance to uplift others, but as a vital stepping stone toward tackling and expanding Dzuka Creative Agency’s mission in the near future. He is excited to collaborate with his cohort, learn alongside local leaders, his fellow volunteers and the volunteering service. with the goal to leverage technology, education, and creative engagement to help rural communities identify their strengths, through their and build sustainable, long-term solutions.
