Biography

Gladys Makhunje is a young woman who studied Agricultural Extension at the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). Her academic journey nurtured her interest in working with communities, understanding their experiences, and finding practical solutions to challenges that affect their livelihoods. She is particularly passionate about community development, sustainable agriculture, and creating spaces where people can actively participate in shaping the changes they want to see.

Gladys joined CorpsAfrica because she wants to be part of the force that drives change rather than simply being a spectator. She is excited about the opportunity to serve alongside a community, learn from the people she works with, and contribute to locally relevant and sustainable solutions. She looks forward to stepping from the known into the unknown, building meaningful relationships, challenging herself to grow, and using her knowledge, skills, and passion to contribute to positive change while learning from the community along the way.
