Wednesday, September 2, 2020: CorpsAfrica hosted its first virtual event, and the reviews are in:

One of the upsides of virtual events is that we can share the entire thing on video, just as if you were there. We encourage you to make Pierre Thiam's Casamance Salad and Hibiscus Cocktail, sit back, and enjoy the video, which lasts about 50 minutes.
Thursday, December 5, 2019: ​CorpsAfrica celebrated International Volunteer Day in NYC with friends and supporters. Jocelyn Zuckerman hosted a panel with Zizwa Mwafulirwa (Malawi, Group 2) and Julie Sherbill (HQ staff), Pierre Thiam spoke about folio and it's connection to CorpsAfrica, and Ashley Battle shared her passion for basketball and projects that support African youth. ​Thursday, April 25, 2019: CorpsAfrica hosted a special reception, "CorpsAfrica in Focus" at the Penumbra Foundation in New York City. Featured speakers included Bismack Biyombo of the Charlotte Hornets and His Excellency Edward Yakobe Sawarengera, the Malawi Ambassador to the US. The event also featured a silent auction of photos from the CorpsAfrica community and valuable NBA memorabilia.

Monday, December 17, 2018: CorpsAfrica was delighted to honor Senator Harris Wofford at the Embassy of Malawi in DC. Former Peace Corps Director Aaron Williams was the featured speaker.

On Tuesday, December 5th, CorpsAfrica celebrated International Volunteer Day at the Embassy of the Republic of Malawi near Dupont Circle. 

Ambassador Edward Y. Sawerengera of Malawi spoke eloquently about his support for CorpsAfrica in Malawi and across Africa. Thanks to everyone who joined us to support the CorpsAfrica Volunteers and enjoy appetizers, Malawian teas and coffee drinks, Senegalese food and juices, and scrumptious Moroccan pastries and wines. Special thanks to Tyler Lloyd for the great pictures and to our excellent event volunteers: Jessie, Nicole, Lisa, Jonathan, Emmy, and Chris!

June 2016 - Steve Carlson (RPCV-Morocco) hosted a beautiful and delicious "Reubens for Rotary" reception at his home in San Carlos, California to raise money to sponsor a CorpsAfrica/Maroc Volunteer and fund a water project in Morocco. Featured speakers included Ambassador Thomas Riley and CorpsAfrica alumnus Mourad Abdennebi (via Skype).
