Meet the Fifth Group of CorpsAfrica Volunteers in Malawi:
Lonney Banda is a motivated and driven young woman who holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Security and Nutrition from the University of Livingstonia. As someone passionate about girls education, she is an emerging influencer for social change. Prior to joining CorpsAfrica, Lonney worked with Community Health Sciences Unit (CHSU) as a Laboratory Technician Intern where she was responsible for food sample analysis. She also spent time with National Food Fortification Alliance as a Laboratory Assistant on a value addition project in Ntcheu. In 2019, she volunteered at Kawale Health Facility educating mothers on good child feeding habits to reduce cases of under-five malnutrition. She served with Bwaila District Hospital as a Nutrition Intern where she trained community health workers on growth monitoring. Furthermore, Lonney has worked with local communities to share knowledge on diverse farming methods for food sustainability and use of local food products and resources in an effective and nutritious manner.

Witness Chawinga is a graduate from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) and she holds a degree in Nutrition and Food Science. Prior to joining CorpsAfrica, she worked at Farmers' Voice Africa as a Project Assistant Intern. During the same period, she volunteered with Forum for AIDS Counseling and Training (FACT) in a project called, “Let Girls Shine" where she taught girls in selected rural primary schools to make reusable sanitary pads. She also has experience as an Assistant Nutritionist Intern for Rumphi District Hospital and Research Assistant for LUANAR in a project that aimed at addressing hidden hunger with agronomy. Through her previous experience, Witness gained a passion for youth empowerment and public health.

Thokozani Chepuka holds a Bachelor of Science in Water Resources Management and Development from Mzuzu University in Mzuzu, Malawi. He is a Young African Leaders Initiative and his nonprofit engagements focuses on youth-led research, adolescent reproductive health, life skills, youth and women empowerment, gender, good governance, social justice, and water, sanitation and hygiene. Prior to joining CorpsAfrica, Thokozani served as an Intern at Blantyre District Council’s Water Development Office where he facilitated, supervised and monitored several rural water supply initiatives funded by the Government of Malawi. He served as a Researcher with Restless Development Uganda under the MasterCard Foundation’s Youth Think Tank program where he collaboratively used youth-led research methodology to generate evidence on meaningful youth engagement in the development sector as well as youth economic opportunities in Africa. He also worked as a peer educator for the UKaid-funded International Citizen Service program with Voluntary Services Overseas Malawi promoting adolescent reproductive health awareness and good life skills. Out of his desire to support rural communities and further develop his community leadership skills, he joined CorpsAfrica to influence change in community-led development initiatives.

Chifundo Chisale is a certified nutritionist. She graduated from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural resources (LUANAR) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Food Science. She is also a Certified Nutrition Mentor for Camp Hope Malawi after undergoing Camp Hope staff training in 2018. Working as a Nutrition Assistant, she provided direct nutrition therapy and support to malnourished children under five-years-old working at Lilongwe District Health Office and chronically ill adults at Lighthouse, Martin Preuss Centre (MPC). She has volunteered for Feed Children Welfare Foundation as a Nutrition Field Facilitator. She joined CorpsAfrica to realize her dream of reaching out to active rural communities through facilitating development projects. She enjoys listening to music in her free time.

Chisomo Kambandanga is a Social Philosophy and Human Resources Management graduate from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College. He excels in mobilizing community members to improve their livelihoods through self-help development projects. He joined community service as Community Engagement Coordinator with CHANCO Project Rejuvenation in 2013. Chisomo also worked with CRECCOM as a Theatre for Development Troupe Member (TFD) and Research Assistant. He also enjoyed voluntary work at Rainbow Children Development Center and Center for Free Market Enterprise (CFME) as an Administrative Assistant and Data Clerk respectively. From September 2018 to June 2021, he worked as a Project Officer (Social Welfare Officer) in the Ministry of Gender, Community Development and Social Welfare in Salima District under the Government Internship Program. During that time, he managed the Social Cash Transfer Program which gives cash to ultra-poor people in communities to help them graduate from poverty through the Malawi Growth and Development Strategy (MGDS). In addition, Chisomo was a Field Officer for Care Malawi managing Tidzidalire Project where he trained social cash transfer beneficiaries with different business skills. He is also a co-founder of COMFOTS and Pamudzi Pathu Initiative, local organizations which aim at fostering community socio-economic independence. Chisomo feels honored to contribute his knowledge and skills in transforming communities through CorpsAfrica and he believes that through this experience he will advance his career in community development.

Sellah Kantayeni graduated from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and Cultural Studies with a major in Journalism. She has worked with the Department of Museums and Monuments as an Administrative and Communication Assistant. She has also worked with the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) and National Statistical Office (NSO) as a Registration Officer and Enumerator respectively. She also has volunteer experience with Fount for Nations, a hospital education nonprofit organization, as a Creative Arts Coordinator and with SATMalawi as an Advocate for sSexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Joining CorpsAfrica as a Volunteer gives her a valuable opportunity to give back to the community and prepares her for a productive career in the development sector.

Tabitha Kasongo is a recent graduate from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and holds certificates in Strategic Leadership Development and Project Management. She is the founder of Queens Hub Forum which focuses on youth and women empowerment in economic development. As someone who is passionate about entrepreneurship, Tabitha joined Hatch Start Incubation Program where she was mentored in livestock management and she started a livestock business, providing employment to several people in her area. During her time at the University, Tabitha was a young Sub-Saharan leader for Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Innovation (STEMi) makers Africa where she was involved in an initiative called the Kuongoza mentorship program. This enabled her to be an agent for change in her community through the growth of Women in Science. Tabitha has always been interested in community development and believes that joining CorpsAfrica will provide her an opportunity to engage the rural populace and influence positive change in their communities.

Joseph Katsala is a motivated, innovative, confident and task driven professional with over three years combined experience in economic, technical and leadership positions. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural resources as well as a CompTIA and Microsoft Packages Certification from Techno Brain Malawi. Between 2017 and 2018, Joseph worked with Alfa Car Hire as an Operations Analyst where he was responsible for managing and deploying the vehicle fleet across Malawi. In 2019, he worked in the Macroeconomic Department under the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development where he assisted in the preparing for the Business Perception and Inflation Expectation Survey (BPIES). Joseph has also worked as a Programs Manager at Business Innovation for Community Development (BICD), an organization that seeks to assist the youth in business development and growth as well as mindset change. As a passionate writer, he has had some of his articles published in several magazines including the Writers Space Africa volumes across 2020 and 2021. He also received a Presidential Recognition for his contributions to the National Planning Commission in the development of Vision 2063. Joseph sees CorpsAfrica as a perfect place for the opportunity to work with the rural society and exchange knowledge, share experiences on economic development and creation of sustainable livelihoods.

Manuel Katsoka was born and raised in a remote area of Malawi and has dedicated his life to helping rural communities come out of poverty through unique poverty alleviation approaches. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Enterprise Development and Microfinance from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). Before joining CorpsAfrica he worked with Clinton Development Initiative (CDI), Mission Rabies and Malawi Government as Agribusiness Consultant, Sensitization and Education Officer and Agribusiness Intern, respectively. In all these experiences, he was responsible for facilitating community engagement and trainings in entrepreneurship, financial management and microfinance. He also has experience as an enumerator for MwAPATA Institute, a research institution, where he collected data on agriculture, education, economics and nutrition for policy formulation and analysis. He believes that CorpsAfrica will be a greater platform for him to understand and learn more sustainable ways of alleviating poverty in rural communities.

Lucky Roosevelt Katundu is a dynamic young leader who has passion for community development. Before joining CorpsAfrica, he worked as a Data Analyst at Credit Data CRB in the Operations Department. He also worked as a Sales Consultant with Old Mutual Malawi in the Retail Mass Market Department in Blantyre. In addition, Lucky also worked as a Graduate Intern with Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation (ADMARC), in the Operations Department at its regional office in Limbe, Blantyre. Lucky believes in active citizenship and has passion for volunteerism. As such, in 2017, he volunteered with International Citizen Service (ICS), for three months in Salima district on an education project aimed at increasing access to education for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. His main responsibilities were running peer education, raising awareness, and facilitating Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR). Lucky is also an alumni of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Regional Leadership Centre Southern Africa Programme Cohort 11, hosted by the University of South Africa, with support from Mastercard Foundation and United States Agency for International Development (USAID). He completed training in public management as a young leader committed to transforming Africa in public service delivery. Lucky earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agribusiness Management from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Bunda Campus, in 2018. He envisions and believes that CorpsAfrica will provide him a platform to use his experience and expertise to change the lives of rural communities in Malawi.

Jolex Chicco Kaundama holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Irrigation Engineering from Bunda College of Agriculture, a constituent college of Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources. From 2018 to 2021 he worked as an Irrigation Engineer Intern and Water Engineer Intern at Irrigation Department and Water Supply and Sanitation Services Department, respectively. During that time, he was actively involved in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of agricultural, irrigation, water, climate change and environmental related projects like Malawi Drought Resilience and Recovery Project (MDRRP). As a passionate agriculturalist, he has been engaged in contract farming with Multi-Seeds Company (MUSECO) in seed production of leguminous crops and he volunteered for National Cassava Processors Association (NCPA) as a part of their Marketing team. During his college days, Jolex served as the Activities Director for Malawi Institute of Engineers Bunda Chapter and served in various positions in religious and environmental clubs. Through these experiences, he acquired better techniques and skills in project management, organization development, construction management, contract farming, leadership, marketing, negotiation, communication and teamwork. Jolex believes that these skills are of paramount importance in the successful design and implementation of sustainable-community-led projects as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer.

Dennis Kayira is a Malawian from Lilongwe. He worked as a Researcher and an Outreach Facilitator at the Department of Museums and Monuments (2019-2021) under Malawi Government Internship Program. Prior to that, he also served as an intern Teacher at Chipasula Secondary School and SOS HG Secondary school (2019 & 2018) respectively. Dennis was a seasonal employee of Green Impact Technologies, an awardee of USADAF funding on renewable energy since 2018. The enterprise is promoting the use of renewable energy in remote areas. In 2016, he was voted as a Treasurer for Mzuzu University Student Representative Council where he advanced his leadership skills. Dennis believes integrity, transparency and accountability are transformative for community development progress. He is optimistic that joining CorpsAfrica is a stepping stone for realizing and advancing his goals. Dennis has a Bachelor’s of Arts in History with a minor in Theology from Mzuzu University.

Tapiwa Khutakumutu has extensive volunteer experience due to her passion for charity work, . Prior to joining CorpsAfrica, she volunteered at the Department of Climate Change and Meteorological Services (DCCMS) Headquarters for 12 months and she was an active member of Leadership, Organization and Experience (LEO) club during her university days. She also worked as an Enumerator and Field Facilitator for several organizations including Northern Region Water Board, and Association for Rural and Community Development (ARCOD).
Tapiwa became interested in sustainable development when she first worked as a Field Supervisor for National Statistics Office (NSO) during the 2018 Malawi Population and Housing Census. This experience exposed her to the high poverty levels in rural communities and she believes that joining CorpsAfrica will enhance her skills and capability to implement sustainable projects in her community. Tapiwa holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Meteorology and Climate Sciences obtained from The Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) in 2019. |
Harriet Lynn Kumbani is a Sociologist who is passionate about rural development and volunteerism. She has volunteered with several nonprofit organizations in Malawi including Orbus Mission Primary School, Little Big Prints, Chanco Project Rejuvenation and Project Triple. She also co-led a fundraising initiative for Palna Children’s Home while studying in Delhi, India and has experience as the Logistics Coordinator for Student Driven Solutions, Zomba. In her free time, Harriet enjoys gardening, sightseeing and listening to poetry.Harriet is a member of both United People Global and YouthLead. She looks forward to dedicating her life to improving the welfare and quality of life of disadvantaged members of the community and she believes that CorpsAfrica brings her a step closer to achieving this. Harriet holds a joint degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Ashoka University, India, as well as a certificate in Human Resource Management.

Adorah Gertrude Maere, a youth activist and gender advocate, is a highly motivated young female who believes youths are at the epicentre of global health. Adorah has recently graduated from Domasi College of Education, with a Bachelor’s of Education in English and Linguistics and African Languages. She is a Youth Champion for Healthy Policy Plus, Leader for Feminists in Campus (Zomba chapter), Project Facilitator and Mentor for Likhubula Youth Organisation (LIYO), Centre for Education Promotion and Advancement of the Rights of Adolescent Mothers (CEPARAM), Mawa ndi Anthu and Zomba Centre for Creative Arts (ZOCCA). Adorah is also a Trainer for gender and sexual reproductive health rights (SRHR) under Art and Global Health Centre Africa (ARTGLO). Adorah is very passionate about addressing gender inequalities, youth participation and SRHR. Through her community work with ArtGlo, Pepeta and other organisations, Adorah managed to take a leading role in uplifting the voice of women and pushing for youth participation in areas that affect them. Adorah is working towards creating a strong and meaningful voice for young people and women in Malawi’s communities. Adorah believes that the opportunity to serve with CorpsAfrica will help her engage with rural communities, and share knowledge and skills on sustainable development.

Kaitano Maison is from Nsanje, Malawi. He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agribusiness Management from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). Before joining CorpsAfrica, he worked for National Economic Empowerment Fund (NEEF) as a Loan Officer Intern. He volunteered as a Secretary for Platform for People's Development (PPD), a local organization in Lilongwe and he took part in assisting the sick in hospitals, the elderly and the physically challenged people with groceries, flour and psychosocial support. He also worked as an Agribusiness Officer Intern at Chitsime Extension Planning area in Lilongwe. Kaitano has always been passionate about uplifting rural communities through economic empowerment and he believes that joining CorpsAfrica will assist him to realize his passion.

Maureen Maseya is a Food and Nutrition professional whose passion and focus is assisting farmers achieve diversified food production systems and access to diverse food consumption. After graduating from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) with a Bachelor’s of Nutrition and Food Sciences in 2018, Maureen worked with the National Smallholder Farmers Association of Malawi (NASFAM) as a Field Officer. She then worked as a Food and Nutrition Officer (FNO) Intern for Mchinji District Agriculture Office (DAO). Maureen is a smallholder poultry farmer whose desire is to grow and become a major player in the country’s poultry industry. She trusts that serving as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer will grant her an opportunity to promote youth participation in community development.

Funani Matemba holds a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). She has worked as a Nutrition Officer Intern under Lilongwe DHO where she amassed skills and knowledge in Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM). During her university days Funani worked as a MAESTROS Academics Coordinator and a Treasurer for Care4Girls, Bunda chapter. She was also selected as a representative of the African Union University Club for LUANAR. Having worked with several volunteer organizations at LUANAR, Funani wants to continue her volunteer work with CorpsAfrica. She wants to experience life from the rural perspective and help communities take ownership of their development.

Elvira Janet Mdoka is an environmentalist with a passion to protect the planet and serve its people. She is from Blantyre and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Sciences in 2019 from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (Bunda College Campus). Prior to joining Corps Africa, Elvira worked as an intern for the Blantyre City Council and Pesticides Control Board. She is also a highly motivated and progress-focused Quality Control Analyst. Elvira believes in being part of the solution to the problems that communities face. She also believes that there is no single approach to problem solving hence she makes the most of her opportunities and enhances her expertise. In her free time, Elvira loves to read, listen to music, meditate and chat with people.

Chipiriro Mkumba is an Agricultural Economics graduate from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources. In 2019, he volunteered with Chia Cane Growers Association in order to provide agricultural technical expertise to cane growers. In 2020, he worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant at SAFI-Extension Programme with a core aim to build resilient families through agricultural innovations. He also worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Intern with Salima District Council in 2021. In this role, Chipiriro was responsible for providing support towards implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems. Due to his passion for climate change impact mitigation and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights advocacy, Chipiriro co-founded Salima Link for Sustainable Community Development. He believes that being a CorpsAfrica Volunteer will help him achieve his desire to be an ambassador for positive change.

Tusekile Munkhondya holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). She is passionate about creating an egalitarian society between males and females and girl child education. Before joining CorpsAfrica, she worked with Old Mutual as a Sales Agent and also as a marketing officer for MobTech solutions, a marketing agency in Lilongwe. Tusekile also has experience as a Research Assistant for MAR and Development Associates, Economics Intern for the Ministry of Finance. During her time in the university, Tusekile joined the International Citizen Service (ICS) journey under Progressio Malawi as a volunteer where she was part of the team that implemented development programs in rural communities. She strongly believes that CorpsAfrica presents her with an opportunity to enhance her understanding of sustainable development and become a vessel of change.

Lughano Munyenyembe is an influencer, a certified entrepreneur and a Registered Nurse Midwife. She graduated from the Catholic University of Malawi in 2018. Due to her passion for young people, she co-founded Mthunzi Health Kiosk, an organisation that engages secondary school leavers to serve their communities by checking blood pressure and sugar levels of community members. The aim of this initiative is to combat idleness among young people and prevent them from engaging in life threatening activities. It also helps to fight non-communicable diseases in the community. Lughano has industrialised her baking hobby and value addition skills to help Malawian farmers sell and add value to their produce under the brand Mizu Foods. She joined CorpsAfrica to broaden her knowledge and skills in leadership and development for the betterment of herself, her community and country at large.

Umusa Ng'oma holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Bunda College of Agriculture. She has experience as an assistant monitoring, evaluation, attainability and learning (MEAL) officer with Foundation for Children’s Rights. She also has volunteer experience with Maestros Leadership Company, the Care for Girls initiative and Appointed Anointed and Accomplished Woman. She is passionate about launching necessary initiatives in the community for the eradication of community problems, skills development and youth mentorship. Through CorpsAfrica, Umusa envisions becoming one with the community and coming out more grounded to her passion, challenged, determined and confident.

Lloyd Nyirenda holds a Bachelor of Social Science Degree in Development Studies obtained from the University of Livingstonia. Prior to CorpsAfrica, Lloyd worked as a Gender Officer at M’mbelwa District Council. Among other duties, he coordinated activities for organizations under the Spotlight Initiative, a UN program aimed at eliminating violence against women and girls. He has also worked as a Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Facilitator with Participatory Development Initiatives on a Maternal Neonatal Health Project in Machinga District. He also has experience as an Assistant Social Welfare Officer for Nkhatabay District Council, and Data Entry Clerk for World Vision. During his college years, Lloyd volunteered for Warm Heart, a University of Livingstonia-based organization which promotes the lives of marginalized school children. He believes that rural communities have the power to uplift themselves from poverty and come up with lasting solutions to the different challenges they face.

Patricia Lily Nyirenda is an enthusiastic leader passionate about education, the environment and community empowerment. She is a graduate from Mzuzu University and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and English. During her college years, she volunteered with UN Youth Mzuni Chapter where she served in the executive team for two years, People’s Platform for Development and League for Change in different development and charity works. Patricia also served as a wildlife advocate in secondary school. Patricia has skills in theatre and arts and she performed with Mzuzu University Theatre Arts Group (MUTAG). She believes that serving with CorpsAfrica will hone her skills in advocacy, community mobilization and deepen her understanding of sustainable community development and give her a platform to be an agent of positive change in her country.

Sibongile Nyirenda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR), and an advanced diploma in Information Technology: Systems Support from Malawi Polytechnic Continuing Education Centre. She has had several information technology and data entry-related positions with Dedza District Council, World Vision Malawi and National Registration Bureau (NRB). She sees herself as an agriculturist because of her graduate internship experiences in the agriculture sector under the departments of animal health and livestock production, fisheries and crops development. She dreams of owning a farm one day that will create job opportunities and will teach and engage communities to adopt agricultural diversification for sustenance, resilience and commercialization. She believes her service as a CorpsAfrica volunteer is one big step of learning from the community and offering her knowledge and expertise to the community.

Grace Sichinga is an advocate for youth and women participation in the development and improvement of their communities. She loves all things arts and crafts and tries to apply this resourceful skill in what she does. Prior to being a CorpsAfrica Volunteer, Grace worked as an Economics Teacher at Kamuzu Academy. From 2019 to 2020, Grace worked as the Project Lead with a local youth organization, Forum for AIDS Counseling and Training (FACT) at the Lilongwe branch. The project aimed at reducing girls' school dropout rates through economic empowerment and menstrual health and hygiene management training. While at FACT, she also worked as a Project Officer on a project that focused on community sensitization of gender-based violence, psychosocial support, child protection and reporting protocols. Grace graduated with a Bachelor's in Social Science majoring in Economics from the University of Malawi. While in university, she was a co-founder for a student-led project called Pamthuzi, that aimed at fostering awareness and insight on social issues as well as critical thinking and creative solutions amongst the youth. She later worked as a mentor to fellow students who were implementing student-led community projects.

Wongani Siula is a self-motivated community development worker who is passionate about helping the poor and underserved communities to realize their full potential and break out of the poverty cycle. He started his career when he joined Temwa Malawi as Volunteer Field Support Officer in 2016 where he assisted in facilitating activities under Education, WASH and Health projects. Subsequently, he became the Education Project Officer for the organization. During this period, he worked in liaison with the local structures that assessed and identified needy secondary school students to be included in the Nick Webber Trust scheme. He also advocated for the abolition of some cultural stereotypes that viewed girls as second-class gender in some development sectors such as education. Additionally, he promoted Early Literacy activities in which Temwa Malawi partnered with the Ministry of Education with funding from USAID. He also has experience working in HIV/AIDS initiatives for Project HOPE (One Community) and Malaria and Child Protection initiatives for World Vision Malawi. Wongani joined CorpsAfrica with a goal to collaborate with vulnerable and underserved communities to achieve their self-reliance. Wongani holds an Advanced Diploma in Community Development and Bachelor of Social Science in Development Studies.

Innocent Uladi is a passionate change maker with keen interest in community development. He is a Global Youth Ambassador for Theirworld where much of his work is on improving access to education for all children. He is a co-founder of an initiative called Her Path which focuses on adolescent girls and young women. Before joining CorpsAfrica, he worked with Lilongwe District Council as a Nutrition and HIV/AIDs Intern where he played a key role in initiating and managing projects through facilitating and strengthening partnerships between development institutions and vulnerable community groups especially women and children. He is passionate about working with adolescents and this propelled him to join UNICEF as an adolescent nutrition intern where he supported adolescent girls on iron and folic acid supplementation programs. He served with John Hopkins University under one community project as a Community Mobilizer where he supported the AGYW on SRHR. Furthermore, he worked with HealthWise as a Nutrition Officer in 2018 and has interned with Synod of Livingstonia Development Department (SOLDEV), CADECOM and Mulanje District Hospital. Innocent holds a Bachelor's Degree of Applied Science in Food Security and Nutrition from the University of Livingstonia and a Diploma in Food Nutrition and Livelihood Security from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). He believes the world can change if everyone learns to ask “what can I do to help?”

Endington Wa Kavuli holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics obtained from The Catholic University of Malawi in 2019. He is a YALI Alumni, a member of Young African Leaders Forum (YALF) and an ambassador of Maphunziro265. Before joining CorpsAfrica, Endington worked as an Economic Planning and Development Intern at Nkhata bay district Council. He likes reading and writing articles and some of his work has been published locally and internationally. Endington strongly believes that volunteering with CorpsAfrica will help him acquire skills and knowledge that will enable him to design, implement and assess efforts aimed at reducing poverty and inequality in Malawi and Africa as a whole.
