Country Director
Dr. Patricia Kingori-Mugendi serves as the Country Director in Kenya. Dr. Kingori-Mugendi joins the team with 20 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of East and Central Africa. Before joining CorpsAfrica, Dr. Kingori-Mugendi worked in strategic management, overseeing financial and operational processes, public relations, media liaising, product development, and integrated marketing communications. She also sits on several boards and was awarded the Head of State Commendation Award in 2022 for her contribution to the Kenya Meat Commission. Dr. Kingori-Mugendi is passionate about community-led development and believes that mindset change is essential in transforming the lives of Volunteers and their host communities. She looks forward to supporting young leaders to make a difference in their countries.

Bookkeper
Nelly Jarenga joins CorpsAfrica as a Bookkeeper in Kenya. Nelly is a dedicated and detail-oriented accounting professional who brings five years of accounting experience to the organization. She has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in finance. She is also a certified public accountant. Nelly has experience in financial management, budget management, ledger and journal management, and filling and remitting taxes.

Training Officer
Michael Muiya is a Training Officer in Kenya. Michael is passionate about design practice, mentorship, and working with communities to solve complex problems. He holds an MA in Design from the University of Nairobi. He brings onboard a wealth of experience in design application training and management, social innovation, HCD, and creative impact in the country.

Volunteer Liaison
Irene Nduta is from Nairobi, Kenya and joins CorpsAfrica as a Volunteer Liason in Kenya. She graduated from University of Nairobi with a M.A. in Project Planning and Management and B.A. in Education. She has worked at Compassion International as a Project Director for 15 years training youth, forming and implementing mentorship programs and coaching interns. She has positively impacted the lives of both children and parents, especially around the slum areas of Mlango Kubwa. She has extensive experience in administration, resource mobilization, team building, project management, customer care, training, content development, and monitoring and evaluation.
