Biography

Christian Nkusi Amani is an agribusiness and food processing professional committed to advancing sustainable agriculture, value addition, and inclusive community development. He holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Agribusiness from the University of Rwanda, College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine, and a One Year Professional Certificate in Food Processing from ESTB Busogo.

Christian has gained practical experience across agriculture, food processing, and institutional settings. He completed a food processing internship at New Vision Bakery Bread Ltd, where he developed skills in bread and pastry production and quality control. At HoReCo, he worked with agronomists and farmers to apply Good Agricultural Practices in horticulture. He also interned at the High Commission of Pakistan to Rwanda, gaining exposure to diplomacy, trade, and project coordination. As a Volunteer Extension Officer with AgriResearch Unguka Ltd, he supported smallholder farmers through climate smart agriculture training and capacity building.

He co-founded the Climate Justice Alliance Club at UR CAVM and served as Chief of Chiefs and President of the Auditors Committee of the AgriResearch Club, promoting transparency and youth leadership. Christian has completed professional trainings in entrepreneurship, workforce readiness, and problem solving.
Fluent in Kinyarwanda and proficient in English, he is passionate about empowering youth and rural communities and contributing to Rwanda’s agricultural transformation through sustainable and inclusive solutions.
