Biography
Jessica Anim is an educator, community development advocate, and emerging leader committed to youth empowerment and community-led development. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education, with Geography, from the University of Education, Winneba.
She began her career as a Student Teacher in Social Studies at Ngleshie-Amanfrom Senior High School before joining Lead For Ghana, where she taught General Science and supported students’ academic and personal growth. She subsequently served as a Ghana Education Service (GES) Teaching Associate under the Transforming Teaching, Education and Learning (T-TEL) programme, facilitating General Science, mentoring Peer Guides, and supporting Values Learning Communities. She has also contributed to educational outreach and career guidance through the Ada Students’ Union.
She currently serves as a CorpsAfrica Volunteer in Jimile, Mion District, where she works hand in hand with community members to build trust, listen to their experiences, and identify local strengths, ideas, and resources that can drive community-led development. Her service is grounded in the belief that sustainable change takes root when communities define their own priorities and take ownership of the solutions that follow.
She hopes to leave behind more than completed projects, but stronger relationships, greater confidence, and community-owned solutions that continue creating impact long after her service ends.
