Biography
Rosemond Alangde Awinpoka is a passionate Nutritionist from Bongo in the Upper East Region of Ghana. She holds a BSc in Community Nutrition from the University for Development Studies and is a registered, licensed member of the Allied Health Professions Council of Ghana.
Rosemond completed her National Service at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, where she later continued as a dedicated volunteer nutritionist. In this role, she provided expert care in managing malnutrition and non-communicable diseases such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, high cholesterol, overweight, and obesity.
Prior to joining CorpsAfrica, Rosemond also volunteered at the Tamale Teaching Hospital–Polyclinic and with Operation Smile Ghana, an NGO that provides free surgeries for children with cleft lip and cleft palate. Her work involved managing children’s nutrition during both the pre- and post-surgery phases, ensuring not only their recovery but also their dignity and confidence.
Beyond clinical work, she serves as the Secretary of the Bongo Youth Network, a grassroots organization focused on health, education, and youth development. Her leadership reflects her belief in the power of community engagement and collective progress.
Rosemond’s passion for service and her commitment to creating impact led her to join CorpsAfrica, where she hopes to use her skills to uplift communities through health education and counseling. She firmly believes that even the smallest act of service can spark meaningful change.
