Biography

Of Fulani ethnicity, he was born in Linguère, one of the departments in the Louga region. He currently resides in the same town where he completed all his schooling, from primary to secondary level. After successfully entering sixth grade at Abdou Mingué Lecor School, he went on to Alboury Ndiaye High School, where he completed a long cycle of studies, from sixth grade to final year. After obtaining his scientific baccalaureate (S2), he was directed to the ALIOUNE DIOP University in Bambey to study community health, becoming a senior technician in this field after obtaining his bachelor’s degree. In addition to his native Pulaar language, Mamadou Ba also speaks Wolof and French fluently and has a basic knowledge of English.

To start his professional career, he volunteered as a nutrition educator at the Ndioum health centre (Podor) in the Department of Nutrition Education and Strengthening (UREN). After three months of service, he decided to continue his educational journey, which led him to become an instructor for educational communities and an Ambassador for Peace and Citizenship. He then joined the following organisations: Special Olympics Senegal Mbour and the NGO Fundacion Canaria Farrah in Mbour, as a volunteer coach in humanitarian development and a Volunteer social educator respectively.
To learn more while being useful to humanity, Mamadou Ba joined CorpsAfrica/Senegal, a structure he sees as an immeasurable source of personal and professional development for Senegalese youth. CorpsAfrica is a great opportunity for him to participate in the community development of his country and of Africa through small-scale, high-impact projects, and to put his skills in community health and social education to good use while acquiring solid experience.

After eight months of service with CorpsAfrica/Senegal in the Kaffrine region, in the department of Malem Hodar to be precise, in the village of Tobène, where he facilitated community development through a number of activities, including setting up a programme to combat child malnutrition; Mamadou has decided to continue his community development volunteering adventure with CorpsAfrica, but this time in Malawi where he will be staying from June 2025 to July 2026 as an Exchange Volunteer.
