Biography
Yordanos Bahiru, a dedicated Volunteer from the Amhara region of Ethiopia, is driven by a deep-seated desire to serve her community. Her journey toward CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia began in her childhood when visits to rural areas of Ethiopia exposed her to the unique challenges faced by underserved communities. This experience sparked a lifelong dream of becoming a part of the solution, a dream she is now realizing through her service.
Yordanos holds a degree in Business Administration, which has equipped her with valuable skills in project management and research. She honed her leadership abilities during her university years, where she served as a class representative for four years. For Yordanos, joining CorpsAfrica/Ethiopia isn’t just about career development; it’s about fulfilling a lifelong dream to see communities take ownership of their own progress. She firmly believes in the CorpsAfrica model of community-led development and is passionate about helping people create sustainable solutions to their own problems.
In her free time, Yordanos enjoys creating solutions for others’ problems, a hobby that reflects her compassionate nature. She looks forward to the day she can share with her children the story of how she achieved her dream of serving her community and making a tangible difference.
